Birds do not possess sweat glands, they are very sensitive to the increase of ambient temperature. To maintain good homeostasis, they evaporate water in the lungs. Doing this they increase drastically their heart rate to bring more blood and so more water in the lungs.
CoolDown for Poultry is a nutritional speciality in liquid form which decreases severe mortality in case of heat stress by sustaining the heart. Its main use is during heat stress periods for fast growing strain broilers.

Composition:
Zinc: contributes to immune system stimulation, increasing number of T cells in blood, cell multiplication, DNA synthesis, nervous system development and good functioning. Promotes amino acids synthesis as cystine and methionine and is a powerful antioxidant.
Macerated plants of Valerian: Calming and relaxing properties.
Acerola: Vitamin C: powerful antioxidant (free radicals neutralisation) & immune status reinforcement properties, supporting the antibodies synthesis.
Oregano: One of the richest plant antioxidant. It helps refuel an exhausted organism and is known to have a cardio-tonic impact.
Intake:
Incorporate into drinking water at 3ml/l the night before the heat stress and during the stress.
IMPORTANT: remove access to feed the morning 4 to 6 hours before the heat peak to avoid extra heat due to digestion, then put the feed back at the end of the day when temperature has decreased.
